CCC-Relevant Products
To determine if CCC certification is mandatory for a product and what type of CCC certification is required, a CCC product check must be performed. This involves checking whether the product is listed in the CCC catalog and if there are corresponding implementation regulations for CCC certification.
The overview tables provide a first orientation. In many cases, however, they are not conclusive regarding the certification obligation of products. Each product model’s specifications should be individually checked for CCC obligation within most categories.
CCC for Automotive Components
CCC certification is mandatory for many automotive components.
Product certification for automotive components is complex and is governed by a variety of GB standards and CNCA implementing regulations. There is often confusion about how to allocate products in the CCC catalog and which certification mode is mandatory for them.

Non Certification-Mandatory Automotive Components, with Option for Voluntary Certification:
CCC certification is no longer mandatory for the following automotive components, but the responsible authorities CQC or CCAP offer voluntary certification. Most vehicle OEMs (manufacturers) require a voluntary certification to guarantee continued compliance annually with Chinese regulations.

CCC for Other Products
The general CCC catalog is listed in Table 3. However, it important to note that the CCC catalog does not list every product that may require CCC. Many products must be evaluated by intended use and function to determine which category they belong to and whether they require CCC.
If it is confirmed that a product is not subject to the CCC catalog, a CCC investigation letter may be issued to ensure smooth customs clearance of the product.
