CCC: Amendment and Optimization of Regulations by CNCA
4. January 2017On December 20, 2016 the CNCA announced that the regulations for CCC certification will be revised and optimized in the near future.
It is not yet clear what the proposed changes will be, but the focus of the changes are expected to affect the CCC product range, the CCC certification process, follow-up certification and penalties for non-compliance and other topics. The aim of this amendment of the regulations is to harmonize the certification processes and to improve the legal and technical implementation.
Although not much is known about the changes of the regulations, it is not surprising that the product range could be further extended since this has been an ongoing process since the inception of CCC certification. This means that product groups which were previously not required to get CCC certification could soon be CCC mandatory. It is important to keep current with the changes to the regulations to understand if CCC will be needed.
