Authorities in China closed for Chinese New Year 2022
28. January 2022In 2022, the Chinese New Year heralds the Year of the Tiger, beginning February 01, 2022. Also called the Spring Festival, the holiday is determined by the lunar calendar, which is the reason why the date varies each year.
Many Chinese authorities are closed during the time of celebrations, often even a couple of days in advance, to allow employees enough time to travel home.
This year, the Chinese authorities are again closed for several days. According to official information, the CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) will close from Jan. 31 to Feb. 06, 2022, inclusive, and test labs will also be closed during this period. The CCAP (China Certification Centre for Automotive Products) will also close from Jan.29.2022 up to and including Feb.09.2022. Delays are therefore to be expected for ongoing certification processes.
MPR China Certification GmbH in Germany, as well as the subsidiaries in the US and China will be open and working as usual. We will gladly continue to support you with your certification processes during Chinese New Year.
