The CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) has revised the following regulations as part of its regular updates of implemation rules, concerning products from the battery sector.
No. | CQC Standard | CQC Number |
024006 | Batteries for photovoltaic energy systems (PVES) | CQC33-464142-2023 |
Voluntary CQC certification can be utilized to demonstrate the conformity of products to the underlying GB and GB/T standards. CQC certification can also be used as a basis for CCC certification, which may be required at a later date, and can be converted directly. For batteries for photovoltaic energy systems, GB/T 22473.1-2021 is the corresponding testing standard.
Currently, no CCC certification has been communicated for corresponding batteries from the PVES area. For other batteries, a CCC certification in 2023 has already been implemented. Here you can find our news on the topic.
MPR supports manufacturers in the field of batteries and charging systems with all questions and ambiguities regarding product testing and approvals.

From September 12th-14th, 2023, our e-mobility experts from MPR were able to learn about the latest developments in battery technology and discuss opportunities for sustainable energy solutions at the renowned “Battery Show North America” and “Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo” in Detroit. With the aim of promoting market entry in Asia for sustainable energy solutions, they were able to obtain excellent information and exchange ideas with over 700 leading battery manufacturers, material suppliers and providers of energy storage solutions.
Held annually at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Detroit, the Battery Show is known as the leading trade show for battery technology, electric vehicles and energy storage systems. This year, the trade show once again lived up to its reputation, offering a glimpse into the future of energy with a range of cutting-edge products, innovative solutions and stimulating discussions.
Especially in regards to new regulations for the Asian market (especially China, India and Korea), the representatives of MPR informed themselves about the latest trends and innovations in the battery sector. The revolutionary developments in the field of e-mobility also occupy the regulatory authorities and give rise to new regulations. Many things are in preparation, but not yet published. Anyone who needs information on this is welcome to contact us and we will pass on our knowledge.
In China, many types of batteries now require CCC certification. Therefore, the import of batteries is only possible with valid CCC certificate (China Compulsory Certificate).

On August 10, 2023, the CNCA released a new announcement about improving the management of CCC certificates and the CCC logo. The main ambition is to improve the digitalization of certificates in order to facilitate the mutual recognition of certificates.
The most important contents of the announcement are as follows:
Firstly, full implementation of the e-certificate; only if the applicant so wishes, the additional paper certificate will be issued by the certification authority. Valid paper certificates that have already been issued can still be used. It will be the natural transition to the e-certificate through modification, expiration of the replacement certificate and other means.
Secondly, the production and use of the CCC certificate and CCC logo should comply with the “CCC Certificate Management Requirements” and the “CCC Logo Management Requirements”. The new version of the logo management requirements, for the style, type, printing and use of the CCC logo should be observed.
This announcement will take effect from January 1, 2024. At the same time, CNCA Announcement No. 10 of 2018 on the “CCC logo, as well as the application of management requirements” is replaced.
