During the transitional period (May 6, 2015 through December 31, 2015) manufacturers could choose if their new certification would be based on the old or new standard. The old GB Standard (GB 6675-2003) is no longer valid, so all CCC certification will now need to be done in accordance to the new GB Standard. All current certificates will need to be updated to the current relevant GB Standard by December 31, 2016. Certificates not updated by this date will be immediately suspended and then finally cancelled after 3 months.
Manufacturers with certificates showing the old GB Standard can apply at the CQC (China Quality Certification Center) to update their certificates to the new standard during their annual follow up inspection in 2016.
Some important changes to the new GB standards include:

Two new standards were announced in 2015 in regards to household electrical appliances, water heaters, gas fired heating and hot water combi-boilers. The first announcement was made May of 2015. The CQC (China Quality Certification Centre, in Chinese: 中国 质量 认证 中心) published an updated GB Standard for household devices in regards to energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for domestic gas instantaneous water heaters and gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boilers.
According to the CQC, the new GB Standard GB 20665-2015 will replace the existing GB Standard GB 20665-2006. The applicant will have the opportunity to choose between the old and new standard for their product certification up to May 31, 2016. From June 1, 2016 the new GB Standard will need to be achieved for any new certifications.
The second announcement was made in December of 2015 when the CQC published amendments for the CQC-Implementation Rules for the same household electrical appliances, water heaters, gas fired heating and hot water combi-boilers. The existing CQC-Standard CQC61-448262-2009 will be replaced by the updated Standard CQC61-448262-2015. Starting on June 1, 2016 this updated standard will become effective, and will require that all new CQC-Certifications be based on the new Implementation Rules as stated by the new CQC-Standard.
The CQC website regularly publishes new announcements about products that require CCC certification as well as products that can be certified with a Voluntary CQC Mark Certification. It is the responsibility of the exporter and/or manufacturer to carefully check every product and to fully understand the applicable regulations prior to shipping. Each product category of the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification has its own Certification Rules, which are based on the National GB Standards. The Certification Rules have a corresponding Implementation Rule which the product must comply with in order to get a Voluntary CQC Mark Certification. The Implementation Rules can be found on the official website of the CQC. New Voluntary CQC Mark Certification products and product categories are posted on the website frequently along with important information regarding certification application start dates.
You can find more information about the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification here.

In the fourth quarter of 2015 the AQSIQ made random inspections of architectural laminated glass used in buildings. Their findings showed higher risks than were originally accounted for in their initial certifications. Due to these results some additional regulations were implemented specifically in the areas of procurement of raw materials.
For the procurement of the intermediate layer (PVB, EVA, EN and other films) manufacturers are now required to clarify exact specifications (eg. for PVB film, the specifications should not be less than JC/T 2166-2016 “laminated glass with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film”).
For the procurement of other raw materials manufacturers should check to make sure that they meet the GB Standard 15763.3 “safety glass for buildings – part 3: laminated glass”.
There are many other changes to the regulation which affect:
If manufacturers cannot provide test samples with the required size of 300mm*300mm (possibly due to technical limitations), test samples up to 300mm*500mm can now be accepted. Larger test samples cannot be accepted due to the limits of the testing equipment.
The certification authority the CQC may also request additional random sample tests to be done at a later time to test for heat resistance and humidity resistance of the construction steel for monolithic glass.

The Chinese certification authority CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration) released the new implementation rules CNCA-C12-01:2015 for product certification of tires on September 8, 2015. The new rules became effective January 1, 2016 (CNCA 2015 from January 1, 2016 announcement No. 27) and affect pneumatic tires for cars, trucks and motorcycles. The factory inspection requirements have also been adjusted.
As of February 1, 2016 a new GB-Standards for tires of cars (GB9743-2015) and trucks (GB9744-2015) will be implemented, (the official announcement was released February 4, 2015). Manufacturers will need to update their CCC-certificates and test reports to remain in compliance with the new standards.
Between January 1 and February 1, 2016 companies may voluntarily choose to adopt the new standards or stay with the old standards when applying for their certification. Certificates that are not updated to the new standard by December 31, 2017 will be suspended. If the update of the certificate is not completed by March 31, 2018 the certificates will be permanently cancelled.
The low air pressure performance requirements have been increased due to the changes of the Chinese national standards for motor vehicle tires in regards to CCC certification. These new more rigid standards will require new sample testing to the increased performance parameters. No other criteria will be tested. The CQC (China Quality Certification Centre) states that truck tires will not be affected by the additional tests for the new standard. The first factory inspection based on the new standard will take place during the scope of the annual follow-up inspection.
Tires certified according to the old implementation rules are still allowed to be used. After the next factory inspection including the CCC certificate update the certificate will be in accordance with the new standard. All factories must implement the new implementation rules by January 1, 2018 to remain in compliance.
